Recovery isn’t just for “those people.” It’s for ALL of us.
Whether it’s from addiction, anger, fear, pride, bitterness, greed, or the countless ways sin has tried to chain us down—every one of us is in recovery from something.
At Saved Life and The Well of Pensacola, we believe recovery is not just about getting sober—it’s about being transformed. It’s about allowing Jesus Christ to break our chains, heal our hearts, and lead us into the life we were created to live.
The Bible says:
“…we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory…” — 2 Corinthians 3:18
That means we are all on a journey—a process of becoming more like Christ.
Recovery is simply another way to describe discipleship—the daily choice to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him (Luke 9:23).
In The Quest to Become Recovered, we model recovery as the progressive growth of a knight:
This isn’t a quick fix. It’s a lifetime pursuit of peace with God (Vertical) and the peace of God (Horizontal).
